Through the Midwest Antiques Forum, we
hope to encourage and support scholarship of the understudied area of
Midwestern decorative arts and material culture.
We believe this region with its unique settlement patterns and diverse
population offers many opportunities to study the cultural development
of America's heartland and how this blend of stylistic influences played
a role in forging the modern American identity.
